Well, We Did It...

...we turned the heat on. i know, not really earth shattering news, 'cause well, it is november 19th after all. but i sort of have this defeated feeling. i was hoping to make it to this weekend when we have company coming to "do it for their benefit." but when i got up at 5:30 this morning...and the thermostat read "57"...i just had to hit "on."

Heather,

Don't feel defeated. We did end up buying a house and have had the furnace on since the day we got it (Nov. 3rd) and we don't even live there yet. (This weekend!!!) Had to turn it on just to make sure the pipes didn't freeze while we fixed it up.

But then again we got 12 inches of snow Sunday night.

Heather,
I found your blog from last years Christmas tour on BooMama. This is my first year blogging and we are a little nuts about Christmas. I was reading the old ones to get some new ideas! I have to say I love the Nativity idea. As children, baby Jesus never made the manager until after midnight mass, but everyone else was there waiting. Since mine two are 6 and 4 I just might have Mary and Joseph travel to the stable! And I also love the idea of adding lights on Christmas eve; a very powerful reminder!

And of course I read the correspondence with Whitetrashbbq. You were absolutely brilliant in your post! I wish that I was able to get my view point across the way you did. It is my goal to get more involved in prolife issues and not just at election time!

I so enjoyed looking around! Hope to see the new house on December
15th! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!

P.S. I live in California and I have had my heater on all ready. I feel guilty now!
