A New Thought...

well, for the time being i think i have obsessed about this whole real estate thing long enough so today i decided to turn over a new leaf for posting (at least for today) :) . i have once again been inspired by beth at simply sewn (you crafty lady you) to use what i have (as far as fabric goes, but hey, that would be a pretty good metaphor for life in general...anyway). now mind you, my "stash" has greatly shrunk over the last month because of showing the house (but we won't go down that road right now...i promise) but i still have one of those three drawer rolling carts packed to the gills with bits of whatnot that at one time were for some sort of a project or garment. so, i found these... (aren't those polka dots so cute?)
and these...which will hopefully become new tiered summer skirts for my girls in the next couple of weeks. i'll keep you updated on any progress (i'll warn you though...it may be minimal and greatly procrastinated).

oh, and in case you were worried about my fabric stash...i didn't actually get rid of it. oh no no. it's just in storage in a friends basement. :)

Aaaaaargh!

once again, i cleaned, i scoured, i stressed, only to come home and find that the realtor hadn't even left a card again. it leaves you wondering...was somebody actually here? did they decide not to show? did i clean for NOTHING? now don't get me wrong, i like having a clean house, but "realtor showing" clean is not just clean...it is spotless. it is as close to "nobody lives here clean" as you can get while three small children still live here. not as easy task to say the least. hmmm, all in God's timing right?

Who Wants to Buy a House?

somebody, right? well, there was another showing today with no word back. guess it was a "no go" again. cleaning, cleaning, cleaning. it has character and 1920's charm...original woodwork...hardwood floors...so who wants it? :)

Easter Inspiration

well. after seeing michele's post over at The Family Centered Life and beth's at simply sewn i wanted to post pictures of our parish on Easter morning. we all attend the same parish and it is just too gorgeous for words.
the beauty of it all just takes your breath away and lifts your heart to celebrate the Resurrection.

The Fish Ain't Biting

yes, i said ain't. but that's the way i feel after cleaning, scouring, cleaning, etc. for another complete and faceless stranger to tour my home and not want to make it their own. i wish you got feedback or something. hey, maybe i should ask them to fill out a survey. my husband does design fill-in-the-bubble tests after all!

Wowee Am I A Slacker!

ok, not really. you see, we have been trying to sell our house. or should i say, get it ready to go on the market. well, doing that with a six year old, 3 year old and 16 month old is like shoveling in the middle of a blizzard...barefoot...uphill both ways. but, it is finally on the market. hey everybody, sell it for me! now the mind numbing chore is keeping it clean. we have another showing tonight. they say they are coming some time between 5:30 and 6:30. could it get more vague? we're not sure the exact time but aim to dismantle the entire window for a timely dinner. guess we will see how many times we can visit the el cheapo pizza buffet. so hey, come on in and join us! and drop a prayer to st. joseph for us...i'm not sure how long i can keep up this facade of ultra cleanliness. :)
